KCAB Next
Who we are
KCAB Next was established to provide an ongoing platform where ideas are exchanged and professional friendships are nurtured among the most active and visible younger members of the arbitration community in Korea.
With its 13-strong steering committee members - selected on the basis of their professional reputation in the Korean arbitration market and which represent the diversity that exist in the field in terms of gender, nationality and legal backgrounds -
the new group’s basic role is to organize and/or support events in which young arbitration practitioners can network, learn and collaborate in long term projects relevant to arbitration.
Supported by KCAB INTERATIONAL, KCAB Next will hold periodic networking social events and yearly (or biannual) interactive workshops that help enhance the members’ legal skills as a advocates and as arbitrators.
KCAB Next will also provide valuable advice to the KCAB INTERATIONAL in planning for KCAB related events, especially in identifying issues and reaching out to potential speakers most relevant to the current trends in international arbitration.
These events will likely focus not only on promoting KCAB INTERNATIONAL, but also to promote the arbitration community members closely involved with Korean matters and are dedicated to promoting Korea as a true international arbitration hub.
The ultimate aim of KCAB Next is to usher in the much needed changes in the field by offering a platform on which the arbitration community can discover the next generation of leading arbitrators and leading international advocates in Korea.
